Years of broken parts and lots of money to get that good.
You got that right.
I have two or three cheap choppers worth of parts sitting in a box in the garage.
And that was just trying to fly in a mild wind!

LOL, ya it takes a lot of practice. I can do some of the basic 3D stuff but am not committed enough to get really good.
A friend of mine is a little more committed and probably one of the best in western Canada:

Wow, I fail at embedding Youtube videos…
"Dont be fooled Timmy, if the cow had a chance he'd kill you and everyone you love."
Watched him fly there in coquitlam a while ago.
Ya he normally flies in Delta but is all over the place. He's competed in the 3D Masters a couple times already.

where in delta?
The Ridge Flyers Club, 104th St. and 59th Ave.
Copy and paste this into Google Maps, in the satellite view you can see the parked cars and runway cut into the field: 49.107141,-122.931175

thanks for the attempt. I'll click my way there.
You know where my desire to fly choppers comes from?
Wanting to get better angles in action videos. Really, I always loved the idea of a sky cam, without the massive cabling systems that are usually associated with them. But as I got more into the flying, I cared less about the filming.
I guess it's bound to happen.

quadcopter!
Got me a Slash 4x4 with a LiPo.
Holy shit this thing is insanely fast… Lets just say after the first run the shell already looks like its been used and abused for months.
Also, running on pavement on a first try-awful idea.
Freaking blast, waiting for the LiPo to charge again and I'm off to hit a gravel field. Super stoked.
Something so satisfying about bringing out the kid inside of you as the damn things screams by my feet kicking up gravel.
Ended up buying at GoGo. Minimal difference in price between online costs, rather support a local business.
Nice,
what Battery and charger do you have?
Ha Ha! Made you look.
I'm guessing he bought hitec charger? cam sells a lot of hitec charger and peak lipo.

I may have been there when you bought it. I just remember hanging around the shop on 2 different occasions and seeing 2 4x4 slash go.
Charging 2 different batts at once FTW
Ha Ha! Made you look.
