Is it only me that scratches my head when the government pushes for incredibly invasive laws and warrantless searches all in the name of "think of the children!" and then goes and pulls a stunt like this?
The Minister of Public Safety explained it like this "Its not that the RCMP didn't spend the hours watching kiddie porn, they did, but they just didn't report the time spent so it didn't show up in their hours worked, resulting in a net savings to taxpayers."
