whole thing is based on comic book story right? so I suppose they are trying to keep to the original comic book series.

Heard the budget for each episode was ~2.3 mil. Not sure how the 'biz' works, but if i was a set designer I'd be pushing the lazy way to stay in one location than to constantly be on the move.
But agreed. Too much people talking in the same spot.

just to flash back…in the scene after Rick banishes Carol, when he is back at the prison talking to Maggie, and he tells her Carol admitted to killing those two people: when Maggie said "she did?"…I got the feeling that maybe it was really Maggie who killed them.

It was Maggie, I'm pretty sure anyways. Carol doesn't have it in her to kill two people but I think that little psychopath Maggie definitely does, and Carol would certainly do anything to protect those girls. Remember the autopsied (sp?) rat? As if that wasn't Maggie, in conjunction with all rats she was feeding the walkers on the fence, happened right around the same time too..

I don't think she is twisted at all. Carol plays the mother of the group and does what she has to do for survival. She killed the two in the prison to stop the infection from spreading and wiping everyone else out. She had to kill that girl or she would be consistantly be putting them in danger or even killing them. She didnt understand what the walkers were and it showed fully by killing her sister and she thought carol was only mad for her pulling a gun on her.
