^^ Quality post.
So much insanity here. 5.5 gal nitro/sec, 5 psi tires. 3.7 sec quarter mile. When I was a kid I went to every race as my Dad pit crewed, we'd make a weekend of it and camp out at the track. Fastest 1/4mi top fuel cars were 4.75 seconds back then, and we figured that was the ceiling. Engines were and still are limited to 8 cylinders with 500 cu in blocks.

They don’t go ¼ mile anymore. Not enough room to stop on most tracks so they do 1000 feet.
Ah, interesting. 4.4 sec fastest quarter mile before tracks shortened. 3.7 sec for 1000.
And here's a snow mobile drag racing. 🍁

Seems that while comforting his daughter over the loss of her grandam, prince Andrew couldn't help being prince Andrew - a peadophile.

Extremely good 15 minute animated video of the 1955 Le Mans tragedy which claimed the lives of 83 people, and Mercedes driver Pierre Levegh. Mercedes withdrew from the race after the crash. They withdrew from motor sports completely for the next 34 years.
