These guys were hanging out beside Rd.40 west of Lillooet

Cool pics, Nechako and Testy. Love seeing wildlife. Saw this guy near Haines Junction a couple of months ago…
Thanks and nice bear!
When I did more alpine climbing, I used to see goats fairly regularly, often in crazy, crazy places. They are pretty cool to watch moving around on a cliff.
The coolest animal I've ever seen when travelling FSRs to/from climbs was a wolverine, but I wasn't able to get a picture of it.
Neat.
The goat I saw was nowhere near any alpine area. I would never expect to come across one where we found him, but there he was, standing right in front of us.

OK,for you guys shooting wildlife….
I see tonnes of animals out in the bush all of the time. The problem that I have is digital cameras that are too slow to get ready to shoot.
Find me the fastest on button on a digicam and Ill post some sweet shotz.

Since we're posting up pictures we've taken of animals… not sure if this is a repost of mine or not, but here it is. It's spectacularly easy to snap pictures like this in Jasper when there aren't hoards of tourists trying to put their kids on the wildlife.

If your serious about shootin' stills of shit while out hunting, check out the Hero3 Black. It takes some impressive stills. Can also be set to take pics every x seconds.
Sounds like there are a few hunters using them on the gopro forums.

Go on CL and you'll find a good film camera for $100. :P
DSLR's startup pretty quick, and they'll actually take a useable photo.
It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of dodging our responsibilities.

Every time I see an adult on a bicycle, I no longer despair for the future of the human race.

Ask someone at the camera shop. Some of the Olympus Tough cameras turn on in less than two seconds, and a couple Samsung cameras as well. Basically, as fast as you get turned on when you see those goats

With the wide field of view I would think you'd have to be pretty damn close to get a good shot with a GoPro.

have a look at the sony nex series or any of the new interchangeable lens cameras.
start-up time on the sony is only 1.3 seconds
We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

Thanks for the tips.
I'd like something that I could leave plugged in and switched on in the truck while I'm travelling in the bush. Its hard th get wolves, lynx, moose and elk to sit still while you wait for your camera to boot up.
Like Zed,I have velcro gloves for the goats and sheep.
