I think a lot of people missed out in not being able to sing along with a song they were familiar with. Real, real bad move IMO. Not that it was performed terribly, but it should have been instinctive for people to sing with and be recognizable to hear. Boo to this version.

I still say Mark Donnelly singing the anthem and in true Canucks fashion including the crowd participation would have been showstopping.
I can't blame the girl for the singing of the anthem, I was not impressed but I doubt she was given the opportunity to comment much on it "Here, sing this or we'll get someone else who will."
VANOC should have known better, the artistic flourishes belong on the other songs, but the national anthem is not supposed to be screwed with.
