So the new coach or whatever sure seems to have made a difference

Interesting they hired a coach before a gm. Does that make Budroe (not sure if I spelt that right) a lame duck already?
The second year of his contract is optional, so the new GM can easily replace him, but I think it's a good deal for Boudreau as he gets 2/3 of a season to show if he's still capable of coaching, which could help get him a gig with another team if the Canucks move on to someone else. There's plenty of incentive for him to do the best job he can.

As the parts start to fall into place here I think Rutherford already had a hand in this. Only my feeling, not a fact.

He confirmed today that he greenlit hiring Boudreau, while still discussing/negotiating the POHO job.
I was at the game last night, and it was fantastic. Watching EP40 score, you could see (at least some of) the weight lift from his shoulders.

6 wins in a row and 8 of 9 and they're still below .500 and at the bottom of the division. It just goes to show how far out of it they were. This run will help, but they'll still need to play at about a .700 or higher pace for the rest of the season to have a chance at the playoffs.

At least they are entertaining again. How big an asshole was Travis?
Evander Kane put on unconditional wavers today. The dipshit left 23 million on the table.
23 million would have almost covered his debts.
Does Makar take goal of the year away from McDavid?

I don't think so, but that was a beauty from the future perennial Norris winner/finalist.
Run the goalie, eh? Even the women are thugs.
Nice to see an all European final.

That was kinda scary near the end. They are the better team, but I dare say the US outplayed them the latter half of the game.
Thread killer
Yup. Woulda' been a different outcome if Decker was healthy.
