How about the juniors? As Canadians we have seen some strong teams over the years but this one may be the most complete. And Levi, what can you say? Pretty f’ing good for a kid who was a seventh rounder and not even on the radar six months ago!

TSN said that Canada has not been scored on at full strength so far in the tournament. 31-0 or something like that. Let's hope they beat the Yanks.

Yay Finland, bronze medal over the Russians. Always had a soft spot for the Finn’s. I like how gritty they always play. Win or lose you always know you’ve been in a game. It doesn’t hurt that Esa Tikkanen was one of my all time favourite players. I loved the short time he was a Canuck. It was funny how he always called Linden “Trevol”.

the lads better collect themselves and come out with the effort of their lives or this game is a goner.

I would venture a guess that the one team Finland always wants to beat is Russia.

I always thought it would be the ‘Swedes.

Well 2021 is off to a roaring start. Can we just flip the calendar to 2022 already?

Has anyone seen the young Swede Nils Hoglander at camp? He’s been skating on the second line and looks pretty good. Seems to be highly skilled and has scored some pretty sweet goals in scrimmages. In know, it’s not real competition, but still hopeful all the same. Teammates seem to be high on him.

Hoglander definitely has skills. Just need to see if he can handle NHL size & speed on a smaller rink. He does have the advantage of having already played 20+ games in the SHL this season. Would love to see him pull off a "Michigan" in a game as a rookie.
