I was pretty pissed when I opened my iphone at 6:20 AM after it belched at me, and there was nothing to read. The alert disappears if you login to the phone after nailing the button to squelch it's noise. I appreciate the alert, but only after a few hours when the news cycle caught up and I was able to figure out what was going on.

My favorite was the final ALERT!!! Just to tell you everything is fine, don't worry no news to report.
Someone needs to take away the emergency button from that operator.

If you want comedy gold, look up the interview with the Colorado Springs shooters dad. Dude was concerned about why his son would be at a gay club, finds out the kid shot 5 people to death. His reaction - "Phew, at least he isn't gay".
