And here I thought I was crazy having a kid at 39.

No your not. We had twin girls at 37. Add that to our other two boys and I’m pretty sure that I will have children around my home for the rest of my life. Turns out that makes me happy.

The only thing I love more than kids, is doing whatever I want all of the time.

The beautiful part of that (the around for perpetuity thing) is all the help you get. "son, can you pull the engine out of the buggy", "can you install the new tire on my moto", "I'm going riding, can you pls cut the lawn today", "pls pick me up a box of Pacifico at the store", "I'm feeling like shite and 2hrs to the closest road so pick me up at his spot" and on and on.  I gave up worrying about the grocery, insurance and other bills a long time ago... it's futile

Long time ago I was seeing a chick a few years older than me. She a timeline for marriage and kids, I was way off wanting any of that and wasn't sure what to tell her. I distinctly remember her being very mad that I bought a truck that wasn't going to fit car seats and leaving me soon after. Meh.

Something that made me happy today was checking out a random hiking trail I noticed a few years ago. It was way cooler than expected and the sun even came out for a bit.

Something that makes me happy is knowing that I was smart enough to move on from a girl like that when I was 20 and clearly not ready yet.  She was/is very nice, but it would not have turned out well.

Something else that made me happy was running into a buddy I hadn't seen in a while on the trail Saturday.
