Songs with interesting lyrics

I want to do an English lesson that involves listening to a couple of songs, discussing them and interpreting their meaning.

I have a few in mind but I would like to see what the NBR crowd thinks.

The only real criteria is the songs must be sung in a reasonably clear voice and the lyrics should be somewhat interesting.

I think Sweet Caroline would be a blast to teach since you could get them involved with the "So Good, So Good, So Good!" portion, but the lyrics aren't that interesting.

For lyrical content how about something by the Counting Crows? Round Here or Mr. Jones?

He asks for clear voices and you suggest Bob Dylan? Really?

That's actually a really good suggestion. His voice might be raspy and by most standards..bad but the lyrics are easy to understand.

Unfortunately I'm already planning to use "The times they are a changing" and one Dylan song is enough.

This song boggles my mind on many levels, clear speaking too.

Best/Worst lyric: "Cus' I get a thousand hugs, from ten thousand lightening bugs as they try to teach me how to dance."
