Other than going eenie, meenie, miney, mo through the lawn and garden section of the Yellow Pages, anybody had a good experience with having sod laid?

Who done it for you?

Fuck lawns.

That's not exactly what I had in mind when I said "laid".

Eat Your Lawn

Heh, we gots a small garden in the only place that gets any amount of sun throughout the full growing season.

Yards so small the garage shades nearly the entire thing in spring and fall.

But thanks for the thoughtful replies so far……..

Seeding not an option? Now is the time of year for it and, for a small area, seed is probably a better bet.

You can get sod from pretty much any landscape supply company. The experience I have had with sod wasn't great. The sod was grown with a clay base which caused very poor drainage.

Somebody laid shade lawn that went all lumpy and is shot through with clover and other shit, nylon mesh from old sod showing in the bare spots.

I've neither a truck or the time, just want somebody to come rip up the old and slap down the new in an afternoon.

Lawn is about the size of three billiard tables….

I've used Andersons from the fraser valley for a few projects over the past years. They grow it for alot of the landscape businesses, and do delivery into Van and install. They been around for 50 years so doing something right.

Check with "sridout" on NSMB, he has a lawn and yard maintenance business. He might be able to do it, or if not will know who does good work.

Thanks all, for the suggestions.

Returned home from an early afternoon circut of Sticks 'n Stones and there was a guy laying sod across the street who gave me an estimate and will come do the work middle next week.
