I think you need to describe what Socialism is.

In the case of Francey pants, it's too many hand outs and not enough feet moving.

I read and was under the impression that they raised gas due to social programs needing more funding.

And the French protester's were also unhappy that they're dime was going to support social programs for the migrants.

Perhaps I should bump an old thread for this.

Today I learned the definition of socialism is, "too many hands outs and not enough feet moving".

Kids call that a TIL btw.

How would you explain it?

A product or service that is owned and operated by the community that uses it.

TIL Reductitron doesnt understand socialism. Your's sounds more towards that of a utopian commune.

I think you're missing one of the fundamental building blocks of socialism and that being taking from the have's and giving to the have not's and those who "just do not(hing)". Similar to welfare.

You should look into what Will Smith's tax bracket in France would've been.

The beauty of today is that you can co-opt the meaning of a word and not be apologetic about it.

If you want to believe something like our healthcare system is a utopian commune, all the power to you.  If you want to believe socialism is "too many hands outs and not enough feet moving", even more power to you.  If you want to believe the earth is flat, knock your socks off.

Which means when not enough people move their feet but those same people have their hands out, then costs of related programs will only go up. But who actually pays for that program and how?

What was formerly BC Transit and a Crown corp afaik.

But its payed for by the community who uses it (compass cards) and taxes.
