China is way more of a basket case than Canada. Even with all of Canada's faults they don't even come close to touching the levels of chaos here.
A riot the size of the Vancouver stanley cup riot happens somewhere in China every single fucking day (except with a higher body count) because the society is cold, corrupt and brutal without anything even close to resembling justice for common people.
Throw Confucianism into the mix and you destroy any hope of social conditions improving for anyone.
