What do you mean by mess? Sounds like things are working out the way they are supposed to - going nowhere.

My take on it is:

Your lady was testing you to see if you were ready for the next level - mainly commitment and being exclusive. Nesting!
It is okay that you say nothing because love is a feeling and you know if someone feels that for you or not.
You don't need words, in fact, silence is golden.

Don't forget ladies have a biological clock so every thing revolves around that (if you are a breeder).

The reason she didn't return your calls/messages is she has come to the realization that the end is near as you know this already.
Unless she is looking for a casual relationship with no commitment but tick tock.

Nah, our schedules never worked out right. Something is off about her, I'm just not sure what it is. She's either not familiar with the lower mainland, or a little slow, or drunk alot. I should call her.

Yeah I think her deal is pretty much all of the above. Still a nice girl though.
