...would you have three kids in between rescue?
Why the fuck is no article going into that particular detail?

Saw this today and almost spat coffee all over my desk when i read the kids thing.
My other question is, who the fuck goes hiking in Afganistan? During a war, where most of the population hates our guts.
Good plan
Maybe set up a mtb tour company in the area, that would go well.

To be fair, one bun was already in the oven while they were hiking in Afghanistan. ^.^
So two children while in captivity.
I guess they were bored?

To be fair, who decides to go 'hiking' in Afghanistan when things are the way they are right now? Add to the fact that you are pregnant and it just seems like a terrible decision.
Are they sure last two are his?
I wondered that too.
The guy was married to Omar Khadr’s sister. Her repution isnt exactly glowing. I think there is a little more to their story than a ‘backpacking trip’. The media seems happy to omit that little bit of detail.
Linked article mentioned being formally married to a Gitmo Bay inmates sibling but not which one.
Feels like the start of "Homeland" just with more members involved.
Why are the victims being victimized here instead of the baby-killing terrorists?!
Bunch of savages in this town.
It's likely because his motivations and judgement appear to be questionable, and they beg the question from normal people of "what the hell are you doing?" They're not any less of a victim, but it's interesting to understand what gets people into these situations. I know from experience that you can find yourself in a far more dangerous situation than you'd initially choose by incrementally accepting higher and higher risk as things evolve. Personally I think the information is limited and unreliable so it would be unwise to jump all over him (and his wife, this is 2017) at this point.
He says his captors killed one of his children so that actually makes 3 born in custody.
edit: the weight comment is clearly insensitive and out of line. But I made the same joke to my wife so there you go.
FWIW, the only thing going through my head when I posted this was, "Why the fuck is EVERY news outlet just reporting on only 4.86% of the story" or at the very fucking least, acknowledge there is a metric-shitton of screaming, unanswered questions.
His father-in-law is pissed at him. Ya figger?

Check the bottom pic, sure shed some pounds in captivity. Maybe we are being a bit harsh but going there is as risky as going to Somalia, you just don't do it. Wish them all the best.
