So the world is a better place with Tucker, anti vaxers, and Trump?  Got it.  Who would have thought that selfish people that adversely affect so many others improves society.

Yes, the world is a better place because of people like this. They create dialogue. People being wrong helps us decide what is right. Imagine if we all just accepted what is comfortable... the earth would still be flat and witches would still be burned at the stake.

The world may be a better place with dialogue but not when the dialogue is filled with lies and deceit. Or are we calling lies and deceit an opinion?

If you’re going to define freedom of speech as 'freedom from reprisal', it’s not ‘splitting hairs’ when you conflate ‘rebuttal’ with ‘reprisal’.

What's next, telling me rebuttal and reply are different ?

And I'm sorry but some speech/opinions deserves reprisal and I have every right to give someone a piece of my mind and/or cut them out of my life depending on what they say/believe. That's the other side of the freedom coin.

Right

Over

Yer

Head.

So the rebuttal goes in the reply and apparently reprisal doesn't fit in this thread either.

So is he gonna buy twitter or not?

This guy is such a grifter. Almost everything he says he's gonna do he never delivers.

didn't he start Paypal, Space-x and Tesla?  I would say he delivers?

Paypal/SpaceX = yes. Tesla = no.

The Twitter purchase looks like a definite maybe. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't happen, but it could. Given the Twitter stock price is well below what Mush is offering the market doesn't feel super confident in the sale going through.

Let's look at some of his promises:

Promised to rescue the Thai kids trapped in a cave. Not only did he fail to do so he accused one of the actual rescuers of being a pedo.

Promised to supply a bunch of intubators to hospitals. Supplied cpap and bipap machines instead.

Promised to rebuild Puerto Rico power grid with solar. Never did.

Promised to clean the water in Flint. Never did.

Promised to give away half his fortune. Gave away less than 1%

Started selling cybertrucks in 2019 which still don't exist.

Master of smoke and mirrors.

I think it's totally fair to question Musk's chances of delivering on a promise. He's not afraid to throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks. There is a lot of hot air coming out of him. OTOH he has accomplished enough of significance that you can't totally discount him either.

Apparently deal is on hold now due to arguments about percentage of bots on Twitter.
