iam about 5'8 and 135lbs
and iam looking at a snowboard and the size they have is a 157 for the Salomon Prospect.
would this be a good size for carving, and the park?
any advice/help would be great!
thanks

157 would be good for the carving and going fast, It would work good for the park too, but it would take a little longer to get used to when trying to spin. I am 5"10, and i ride a 157, it feels perfect for me. So either try and find a friend who has that size board, and try theres out, its all about preference

I'm 5'7 and I'm gonna be on a 158 this year. I was on a 150 last season but I didn't like it in the air and in the powder, it's not stable anough, I'm all abnout the back country carving. Here's what I'm getting:

It all depends on where and what you ride. If your going to ride steep and deep the longer the better, if you mainly ride the skihill 157 will be perfect for you to carve and rip up the mountain. It will be a touch long in the park untill you get used to it then you should be bustin some 5's. Also the heavier you are the longer board you can run. Rip it up, the snow is here. I'm only 5'10 but ride a 165, stricltly carving and out of bounds (no park)

lib tech's are the best pipe/all mountain boards out there (if you can justify spending over $500 on a board!) otherwise Option's and Flow have good priced boards for what your doin

I'm 5'4" and ride 159.

I won't get out of bed unless it's a powder day though.
