Once you delete/kill a process in task manager, it's gone until you or some other process starts it.

Try killing "Explorer" in task manager. Your desktop will go away. You can restart it by running "explorer.exe" from task manager.

Yup lots of cool things you can do…like when your printer is being a bitch.

net stop spooler
del /F /Q %systemroot%\System32\spool\PRINTERS\*
net start spooler

Boom fixed.
