The ex-chairman and ex-CEO were pretty much high-ranking members of the Provincial Liberal Party of Canada.
What the heck is the "Provincial Liberal Party of Canada"?

Do a little digging and find out why it's such a mess in Ontario. It's definitely NOT because of shortcomings in the renewables sector.
So this is now a go.
yeah a lot of pissed off people on a project that probably never should have gone a head but i think the dollars & cents meant that it was past the point of no return

Hopefully independents.
the independant party?
It ^^ might work if proportional representation gets passed but the reality is those tie-died-in-the-wool NDP'ers are looking at holding their nose and voting liberal
You can talk about what could have been and what shoudl have been but at the end of the day we elected Horegan he promised to look at it and he made his decision
"...those tie-died-in-the-wool NDP'ers are looking at holding their nose and voting liberal"
Yes, of course they are, because the majority of people are dumber than rocks.
"I am voting against the Liberals because of the decisions they've made. The new party is continuing the policies of the Liberals, therefore I'm going to vote the Liberals."

Ummmm ... there was a BCUC review just last month, and it concluded "not so much". Pretty much conclusively stated that the cost to yank the project and mothball was still the better option.
Andrew Weaver is pissed. This, together with Horgan removing bridge tolls. Can they still "get along" in the house?

We need the electricity to fill up all the Model 3 Teslas hitting the road...

I wouldn't be so quick to make that assumption...
"However, many of the assumptions in the BCUC analysis appear to overvalue the alternative portfolio (e.g. wind plus demand management having the same reliability as hydro) and undervalue Site C (e.g. no value for dispatchable “on demand” capacity, low value for surplus sales, etc.). Given the slant in assumptions and near toss-up in final numbers, a reading of the BCUC analysis favours completion."
