green and red shit? green is probably consentrated flem (mucus), and the red stuff might be blood vessels. i have athsma, so i cough up flem on a daily basis. when i hork up a whole lot fast, blood vessels come up with it..

dude, pneumonia is not fun.

i have it about 5 yrs ago. started out as a common cold, then got worse. stayed home for the weekend, went back to school on tuesday. felt like shit, then mom drove me to the doctor's after school then they directed me straight to the hospital. what followed was 4 days in the intensive care unit and then another 3 days in regular hospital for recovery. the follow up visit to the doc's revealed that had i not gone to the hospital that afternoon, i would've been a dead man.

I'd go see a doc. If you've been sick for that long with a persistent, productive cough, it's probably best to get it checked out. If you've had any fever, the definately see a doc. Tell them you'd like a DRE ;)

yes, if you're sweating thru the covers at night, then it's probably a good idea to get some antibiotics…

I got pneumonia after the flu a few years ago, i was in bed for three weeks, and then weak and sluggish for another 4.

Maybe it's all that riding you've been doing lately, your body isn't used to it :P

pneumonia is infection of the lungs. your alveoli become blocked with mucus and pus which causes breathing difficulties, thus the coughing up of green slime. the red strings is probably blood from lungs or throat from excess caughing
