I have nothing to add:

When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity.

When many people suffer from a delusion, it is called religion.

It is sad. I sometimes have thoughts that the US and other nations that own nuclear weapons need to use them to pound these cocksuckers once and for all. And that is sad because I hate violence and believe that violence merely creates more violence. Maybe our secret services need to be funded well enough to find these terrorists and make them vanish without a trace.

Haha … more zealots overcompensating for an invisible, imaginary, impotent god. If god bitch-slapped anyone and everyone who insulted or offended her I would be impressed. Truth is, imaginary deities have no such power.

This is terrible. I somehow expected anything like this to happen, be it a country in Europe or North America. But in the end the pen is mightier than the sword, and has always been.

The police in France have apparently arrested three suspects, lots of spontaneous gatherings all over Europe.

I've always had the understanding, counter to popular culture, that if you mess with the French, they will kill you. Mic? Confirm? Deny?

Unlimited access to firepower and so many soft targets in the US. I'm surprised something like this hasn't happened there yet.

I was thinking more of a coordinated attack. I guess the Boston bombers would fall under this category. Most of the homegrown stuff so far has been from individual nutjobs acting alone.

Saw the footage and definitely not the recent convert type. The grouping of shots on the police cruiser is way to good to not have weapons training.

Acvording to the former CSIS Assistant Director the French Intelligence groups are very good.

Though if you look at what has happened in less than 3 months….2 attacks on Canadian Soldiers, Attack on the Cafe in Sydney Australia, and now the Paris attack. While the Canadian and Australian attackers where recent followers of Jihad and amateur compared to the Paris attack. You have to start to think there might be a pattern and more going on.

And let's face reality. The intenet makes it a little easier to communicate between groups around the world and harder to SIGNIT to intercept than traditional mail.
