Bought my first bottle of scotch (Glenfiddich 12) a few months back to give it a try. I like it. I've since grabbed a bottle of Glenlivet 12, and snagged a Dalwhinnie 15 on the way back from the states in May.

Any suggestions? I understand these are all fairly similar to each other as far as scotch goes.

Highland Park 12 is good choice and makes a great stepping stone to the smokier scotches.

Just picked up a Glenlivet 15 last week flying back from the US. Will probably bust it open with my brother-in-law while on family vacation in August.

Cracked open a Dalwhinnie to hold me over until then.

There's a reason for that.

Nice. How much did you get the Martel for?

I think it was 80-85 Euro. Good cognac seems to be about 1/3 what it would cost here!

Here's my present collection.

Glenrothes Select Reserve
Glenrothes 1998
Chivas Regal
Glenmorangie The Original
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban
And not shown is a bottle of McClellands Islay for my "friends" that say they want a scotch mixed with something other than a teaspoon of water. They won't know the difference.

I was holding off on opening the Quinta but cracked last night. Holy Crap is it amazing, it's my new favorite with out question. Hints of chocolate and incredibly smooth.

Some more new stuff. :D

A 2005 Brora 30yo. I'm so happy I was able to find this.

An older bottle of Springbank 10yo.

A neat little bottle my sister brought me from Scotland. I've never seen a Glenburgie here.
