An old GF had a summer job testing canvas tents for Woods in I think thunder bay, she said the guy really wanted to love canvas tents but they were never water proof, but check the woods site they may have something that interests you and notice all the Woods tents are not canvas

I hate bugs, so not a huge fan of tarps, although they're super light.

I also don't really like one man tents, considering I often use them for hunting and need to fit that stuff in there with me when I am out.

Used to use an old Eureka! 3 man tent, but it was heavy… Just picked up one of these, they are soemthing like 2.5lbs, not bad for a two man.

jake has come through for me before, I fully suspect he is just trying to find all his clothes and finishing up breakfast

definitely!

been planning a couple of overnighters - heading up towards Mt. Albert Edwards in a couple weeks and then half the Juan de Fuca first weekend of July.

Albert Edward is our first mission, not sure when the gf can get a day off with just starting a new job and all but hopefully soon.

Good choice, I wish we had that model for the side entry vs. the end entry of our Fly Creek.
