Trial is in damages phase. Alex has already been found guilty of defamation. This could have broad implications for the greater misinformation space at large so i've been following pretty closely.

people got to a place they figured they can say anything cuz Trump did, maybe things are swinging back the other way to people getting sued for defamation, it sounds like Sidney Powell is going to court over defaming the company that makes voting machines

Alex hasn't taken the stand yet.not sure when that's happening. 

I just listened to one of the kids moms confront Alex for the first time since the shooting. Powerful words.

Getting slapped in the face with reality. Fitting that it's a Mom doing the slapping.

Imagine how those parents feel... this piece of shit just tormenting these poor people.

I'm not sure how much people have been following this but Alex never got a jury for the defamation trial because he refused to participate in discovery. He would do things like literally say he was too sick to sit for a deposition but then go and do his show on the same day. Their inability to mount a coherent defense or respond to Plaintiff's requests for almost 6 years led to the judge finally declaring a default judgement which is apparently pretty common in civil court l. Especially when the dependent seems to be refusing to acknowledge that they're being sued. Most involved on the plaintiff's side believe the default judgement was his strategy from the beginning so after he had lost he could claim that it was a kangaroo court and a show trial and that he was denied his due process or whatever.

To summarize this afternoon, minutes after facing the bereaved mother; Alex fielded a bunch of softball questions from his lawyer who allowed him to monologue and bloviate about his struggle and how the system has been trying to shut him down since day one...etc.. he told at least two bald faced lies as well while under oath that I could count and was basically trying to relitigate liability despite that part of the case already being decided. Then after court was adjourned he approached the parents offering a deal and the lawyer got in between them and was like bro? What the hell are you doing? then Alex started shouting and making a big scene then the live stream was cut.

If anyone is as obsessed with me about this case; Alex is going to be cross examined at some point tomorrow morning. Stream starts at about 7am.

The plaintiff's are collectively asking for 150 million in punitive damages. They're not saying they deserve all that money. They're saying that's what Alex should be forced to pay and the parents are saying as far as they're concerned they don't care if they see a dime of that money and wanna donate it all, as long as he has to pay it.

4M is only compensatory damages.  Punitive still to be determined.

And 4M will sting, but won’t shut that asshole down, he pulled close to 65M out in advance of this trial to set up a phony bankruptcy claim.

Some people say his personal net worth is over 9 figures. We'll see what happens with the punitive damages.

Mark Bankston has been subpoenaed to hand over the phone files to the Jan 6th investigation. Something tells me he'll be more than happy to cooperate.

Additional 45 million in punitive damages.

I had heard this is the first of 4 suits against him.  Let’s hope he cracks 200M total.
