Me and Frenchy decided to go for a trip to Six Lakes on Sunday. Over 130km of riding and this was what we saw.
The road is sand the whole way and it is very deep. In the winter this is an Ice Hwy.

At the parking lot

Only 600km on my 2010 DRZ

A view of the road up

Frenchy trying to park like me

Good view of one of the lakes

He decided to cool off once we got to the lake

mmmmmm Organic Blue Berries.

Gracious bike pic

Thanks for looking

is going big on a bike the only way to get you stoked on the sport? what happened to riding with your bros, travelling, and riding unique places, to get people stoked on riding?

fines are useless. there needs to be more punches to the throat.

I would like to take one of these:

and drive at ridiculous speeds along that road.

That's what I was going for, but unlike the ford, a trophy truck is not readily available to me.

I really want to do that road one day in the winter, when it is frozen over.

You must have had a quad carry fuel for you to make it all the way to the dunes? Is that an RM or DRZe?

I went out to the dunes in May. I rode my roomies CanAm 800 and he rode his CR450 with a paddle on. That was an epic day.

Not the dunes… 8 liters in the tank to get to Herb Lake area. 7 Liters to fuck around up to the bottom of 6 lakes and rail berms. 8 liters to get home. No room for error… especially cause I went by myself.

I'm in Kamloops now… but when I've got some cash saved up my dream vacation would be to get maybe 6 guys together and heli drop a couple barrels of fuel and camp gear up there. Then play in the sand for a week.

Lots of guys have "stashes" of fuel in the bush up there. Their buddies will tow a tub trailer up on the quad and drop off a barrel of gas.
