Probably a swing axle rear end.

It will flaten out once you load in the driver, a passenger and a load in the vehicle.

Ah, thanks. I figured it must be something like that. My thinking was stuck with negative camber, a la 510's, "high performance" Type 1 VW's, stanced rides, etc.

I think those were airtight no? A friend in highschool had one (or one similar) and if you closed the doors with the windows up your ears would pop. He said they were meant to float if you somehow ended up in the drink.

Older ones (pre '67) have swing axles so do the opposite when lowered.

Stock and unloaded they look the same as the car in the pic above.
