I don't know what kind of fancy upbringing you had, but the STi interior isn't that bad at all. Alcantara seats, power options, and a nice set of gauges can be found alongside the awesome drivetrain. Unlike the GTI which while nice, will be sucking the STi's tailpipe in any display of speed.
It's time to admit that you can't handle an STi, and simply buy something more pedestrian and comfy. Maybe a classic Crown Vic?

Last time I checked, as long as the seats didn't let you move side to side, and the shifter had a comfortable grip, that was all that was needed for "interior" to drive a reasonably fast car.
