simply awesome vid of a Porsche 911 enthusiast. worth watching all 30 minutes
That is one cool video. I only had time for half of it tonight, but I will watch the rest later. Such high quality videos free on the net, I love it.
I would chose rebound. Compression can be somewhat changed via different springs/spacers/tires.

the relatively cheap prices that these go for kinda make me go hmmm… that is, until i found out what engine rebuilds, parts etc, cost. i suppose tossing in a tweaked vw mill might be an option (if perhaps sacrilegious).
rad film, and cool guy though.
So school me on buying a car when I arrive. I am moving to Vancouver next week for work and obviously I need a motor. My initial thinking was to buy a cheap truck such as a Toyota pickup and a fancy pants car (I am coming from Australia where to buy a nice car, 2002 M3 etc costs about $50k and was not really justifiable).
First question is how bad is driving a reasonably powerful rear wheel drive car in winter? I'm not talking all winter or in snow but generally wet winters days. How often does it actually snow in the winter in the city? I was thinking about a WRX STI but the interior is horrible. Any ideas?
Little snow, lots of rain. When you get here it'll be fairly common weather that we have for a large part of the year.
Wait until you get here and look around. Rent a car for the first week and get a feel of what's available.
It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of dodging our responsibilities.

Why would you care about the interior of an STI?
You're supposed to tear it all out anyways.

You should really consider leasing an Acura if you are serious about this.
^updates on the civic?

When compared to my old golf gti the interior is pretty shit looking.
