On the positive side… I ran a red, going too fast on a stormy february night… the flash got me. I never recieved a ticket. This goes to show that the cameras are not 100% accurate.

Not sure if its still this way, but it was about 3 months ago in alberta.

If you disputed the ticket, you instantly won. The reason is because it is just a machine with no person controlling it unlike photo radar and such so there is no way of them porving that their eqipment was working at the time. A few of my friends did this and got away with nothing. It could be different in BC, I dont know.

some dumbass asian lady ran a red light today, like she couldnt tell everyone else was stopped? i honked ( i was at the front in the opposit direction) at her and was like WTF it was a pedestrian controlled intersection too! what if some lady and her baby were strollin across the street!!!

running yellow lights people do everyday.. but red lights when you know its a red light, why!!:???:

In a related story….someone runs a red light here and kills two teens. People are always running reds on this stretch apparently. So what do they do? Increase enforcement? Nope. Reduce the speedlimit!! Bastards:mad:

The cameras are still up for some reason. But I'm pretty sure the photo ticket deals were done away with:)

The ones here in prince are up and they just take pictures for survey purposes. Thats what my driving instructor said. Apparently its just to get a figure for how many people are running red lights in the area etc.. They don't actually charge you.

Only 1/3 of the cameras acutally contain storage/film.

aahaha i have those damned machines so scammed around here. I know which intersections they are in and for which travel direction they point. So those are the only three intersections I will think twice about not stopping.

Plus they usually always have that camera warning sign.

yea man fine central. i remmeber watching that on the tlc or something. they used all sorts of things. only 1 made it so the camera couldnt see it, but they just reversed the color on the computer and you could see the numbers perfectly.
