Update:

• We're still working on the speed of the new posts. It's better, but not where it should be.

• I've made a ton of improvements throughout the site in terms of speed.

• Search is working again. Not all posts are indexed yet (there's 2million of them) so it'll be awhile before the full results show, but it's working now.

I've never not been 100% straight, but I have been a straight up cunt too many times. I like to believe those have been strictly limited to those evenings I went hard in the paint.

Norman, embedded YouTube vids. Imbedded images.  The old usercp page that listed all the threads we are participating in (I've never subscribed to any, but every thread I participated in ended up there).

Probably the most egregious issue is that this web app has been styled by designers and not users. Wayyyyy to much white space. This works if you're selling iPads, but it sucks if you're trying to consuming information.

I read the first line and thought you had began a twelve step program.

Still here (Trail Worker); the new forum change happened around the same time life got too busy to think about bikes all the time so I might drop by from time to time but it seems like almost all the old faces have disappeared.

Still here. It's gettting better, I have faith that it will be all that it was and more. The main site is much better, the mobile version of the forum is 1000x better and I don't miss the NBR cesspool one bit. I actually hope this weeds that out a bit so when the full functionality returns it's less drama and more good content. 

At the end of the day it's a forum to hang out on that doesn't cost me a penny. I'm not sure where the entitlement comes from for those jumping up and down because their little piece of internet has changed.

Be the change you seek.  Unless you're here for the cognitive dissonance, then carry on exactly like above.

I remember one of the first NHL games my dad took me to. We managed to sit in a section besotted by drunks.

I was both in shock and aghast. I was still wee.

I still remember to this day asking my dad, "why don't they kick everyone out so they can finish the game?"  He smiled and rubbed my head.

To all those who think this is a cesspool, how many threads have you started in the last year?  What have you done to make this a better place?

I'm pissed off because I'm invested, and it's also the reason why I'm still here and doing my best to keep this going.

Still here. Wasn't posting much on the old forum. Will probably be the same here. I took back my avatar, but kperras rolled it over too. Might have to settle that at some point...
