i think a lot of people were already on their way out for various reasons and this switch made it easy to say goodbye, so i doubt that changing it back will pick things up again. i also think for the people that were and are still keen it's going to be "difficult" to keep things going when there's so little to react to with next to no posts happening.

still here, way less frequent.  was thinking of starting a new forum with vbulletin that would take over where nsmb died.

Still here... kinda. The only reason I comeback is for the people/community, but fighting with the format and lameness of the software experience. It is so bad, slow to load. It is sucking the life/fun out of it all.

been thinking the same thing. it wouldn't take much to start a new forum but i am reluctant to do it out of some strange loyalty to cam and the whole nsmb crew.

Was a lot of fun here.. Gonna miss you all, especially those I went off the deep end with when I had a few too many. My apologies for that.

Anyways, still pissed at how this was "handled". If you all end up somewhere else, let me know. I'll still check here every now and then.

If anyone does this please let me know. This is a great community to lose to poor software.

I still love you guys. I miss my green dots, I earned the shit out of those during a rough break up. Just got my login back so I can brag about buying a sweet house, KenN style. My house is sweet. That's all.

First off, I'd like to apologize for the shitty experiences thus far. The reason we had to switched over without warning lies with me. It wasn't a choice I made lightly, but I had to make the call between launching with what we had or continuing down a path that I knew wasn't going to work. This coupled with the constant hacks we had with vbulletin (despite staying on top of updates) made it necessary for us to make the switch.

You are all very important to us. Trust me when I say us at NSMB (Cam, Pete, myself) have all had a lot of sleepless nights since the site launched.

Both Niels and I are trying our hardest to fix things as quickly as possible to make the experience better for you guys. There's three things that are on my to-do list right now (in order of priority):

  • Fixing the speed for the new posts listing

  • Fixing the forum search

  • Making posting faster

I don't have timelines for you because I don't know how long it will take, but believe me when I say that I'm spending all of my time outside of my day job working on this.

I'm making a plea to all of you to give us some more time to improve things. I know change sucks but please bear with us.
