Did he kill political dissidents like some sources say? If so, and I might be alone on this, but that is bad.

Just a copy paste, but I thought it was pretty interesting…

Libya [HTML_REMOVED] QADDAFI …FACTS THAT CANT BE DENIED

Another FACT THAT CAN'T BE DENIED. According to a survey done by the Government of North Korea, China, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, and Iran are the 5 happiest place on earth. Its true:

"According to a Chinese website that tracks North Korean state media—they’ve just released a global happiness index ranking 203 countries. According to this index, China ranks number one in happiness. North Korea, a close second. Rounding out the top five—Cuba, Venezuela, and Iran. But bad news for our viewers here in the US—or, as the index calls it—the "American Empire," we rank dead last. The list has become wildly popular on the Chinese internet. It’s unclear what criteria were used to rank the countries."

"Denied post mortem imagery of Osama bin Laden and Anwar al-Awlaki, the world now has at its disposal photographs of Muammar Qaddafi, dispatched with a bullet to the head after being wounded by NATO’s ground troops outside Sirte. Did the terminal command, Finish Him Off, come via cell phone from the US State Department whose Secretary, Hillary Clinton, had earlier called for his death, or by dint of local initiative? At all events, since Qaddafi was a prisoner at the time of his execution, it was a war crime and I trust that in the years of her retirement Mrs Clinton will be detained amid some foreign vacation and handed a subpoena.

My friend and neighbor in Petrolia, Joe Paff, wrote a response to a dreadful story about Qaddafi’s killing on Yahoo’s site, commenting “This kind of gloating is bound to come back and bite your butt. Imagine how many people in the world would like to see Netanyahu or Obama dragged from their hiding holes and tortured. It will take about six months for everyone to regret the ‘new’ Libyan ‘democrats.’" "

He was a brutal dictator who was offered opportunities to go into exile, step down or surrender … he didn't. He vowed to die fighting. He was defiant to the end, apparently armed (that golden gun he had was pretty cool, I must admit - nice "Super Villain" touch) and surrounded by bodyguards when when he was attacked and eventually killed. Hardly the acts of a man wanting his day in a court of law.

Why do do people want to see photos of Dead Osama? I think most of us would rather see his reported porn stash, which would give us far more insight into the mind of his evil genius.

Here's why "they" killed him……

"More recently, Gaddafi had been actively working to scupper AFRICOM. African governments that were offered money by the US to host a base were typically offered double by Gaddafi to refuse it, and in 2008 this ad-hoc opposition crystallised into a formal rejection of AFRICOM by the African Union."

See, he musta' been crazy, eh?

[HTML_REMOVED]#8220;As Colonel Gadhafi revealed in his Will, NATO made him several offers if he would abandon his country to them. Foolish and criminal NATO established our leader forever as a great resister to colonialism and a patriot for Libya, for all of Africa and for the Middle East. I believe that Colonel Gadhafi died a far more honorable death than the leaders of NATO will.[HTML_REMOVED]#8221;

You are mourning a dictator who killed people.

I contend that heaping praise on Ghadaffi is just as intelligent as heaping praise on Dick Cheney.

I think both are psychopathic malcontents that have no place in a functioning society.

Apparently it does. Pretend I was bereaved at Ghadaffi's hand. Tell me again on how he was a good man?

Compared to the murderous despots ruling Yemen, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Syria….etc?

He shamed the other oil producing nations of the middle east into charging a fair price for their oil.

He then used his oil revenue to -

1.) give Libyans the highest standard of living in the middle east.

2.) stymie the psychotic yankee scums' imperial ambitions in the middle east and elsewhere.

But I'm talking to an inculcate. Here, try some nuance.
