Rickshaw is an awesome venue, especially for a metal show. A bit of a hoof to Granville (maybe 30 minute walk).

Always wanted to check out a metal show there, but haven't yet, so I don't know what the venue is like. Mayhem and Watain just played a show there. That would have been crazy…

It's just east of Main and Hastings, so yeah, bit of a walk from Granville. Where are you coming from, SkyTrain? Might be easier to get off at Science World and take the #3 bus north to Main and Hastings and you'll be right there.

Ride, don't slide.

Was going to watch Nevermore there a few years ago but I ended up not being able to. However I went to the Steve-O show and it was about a 10 minute walk from Main Street/Science World

Standing on the sloped floor sucks.

By the way, Mastodon and Clutch are playing the Commodore in April.

Hotwire always produces some decent hotel deals, and pretty much anything in downtown Vancouver is a short walk/bus ride to the Rickshaw.

Ride, don't slide.

Try the Ivanhoe on Main St. It's cheap.

Saw Japandroids there a few years back. Awesome venue for a loud show
ended up leaving completely soaked in beer, sweat and blood (my own) as well as a torn shirt from the pit.
