Bogus statement above is bogus because the it doesn't consider the un-insured in America who simply die on the hospital lawn with their emergency.

If only they had passed The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act over 25 years ago. That could have put a stop to that.

That's the problem with cities, they're refuges for the weak, the fish that didn't evolve.

I don't want to google this - sounds like a thing that NSMB will be better at.

If they die on the lawn it's because they didn't seek help.

A work colleague's brother was uninsured and had a bad heart attack. He had quadruple bypass surgery performed right away and was never charged. It was probably $100K in medical charges.

Health care is not "free" in Canada; there are medical expenses not covered by our extra taxation. Charges for hospital stays…ambulance charges…medical equipment rental charges…the list goes on.

And if you do not pay MSP premiums (personally or through an employer) you'll be paying the cost of any medical treatment like the uninsured in the USA. Or you will not get free treatment for anything that isn't "life threatening".

Like I posted earlier, I'd approve of government revenue generation (such as increased taxation) to improve our medical care. Get rid of MSP and all that overhead and only supply a birth certificate to get care. Buy some more MRI machines and get people walking again or have more preventative scans. Staff emergency rooms so you don't have to wait hours to be looked at. Add some surgeons so "elective" surgery doesn't have waiting lists months long.

Well, I guess it sounds as if the American system is exactly the same as the Canadian one then.

Next topic?

Horsefuckingshit do your research.

Only because they checked and he had assets I'll wager.

Yes, B.C. and I forget which other two (2) provinces are populated by sheep so docile they have not revolted against the crime of a "user fee" in universal health care.

Glad to see you read the link I posted and understand the first fucking thing about the LAW in the US that "requires hospitals to provide emergency health care treatment to anyone needing it regardless of citizenship, legal status, or ability to pay."

In the United Snakes of Amerikkka, the "LAW" can and is regularly broken with impunity whenever a profit can be realized.

Wow, did you come up with that awesome retort all on your own?

Got some facts to back up that statement? Take your time digging through counterpunch.

I asked you first.

And I quoted the law that says your argument is full of shit. If you want to continue on the claim that the uninsured are dying on the hospital lawn because the are black, bring back some facts, not just worthless tripe that doesn't even amount to anecdotal story telling.

The ball is in your court, shitstain.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^metaphor, you follow?^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Number 16:
In Canada, the health care system is funded by income, sales and corporate taxes that, combined, are much lower than what Americans pay in premiums.
In the United States, under Obamacare, for thousands of Americans, it[HTML_REMOVED]#8217;s pay or die [HTML_REMOVED]#8211; if you can[HTML_REMOVED]#8217;t pay, you die. That[HTML_REMOVED]#8217;s why many thousands will still die every year under Obamacare from lack of health insurance to get diagnosed and treated in time.

Number 11:
In Canada, when you go to a doctor or hospital the first thing they ask you is: [HTML_REMOVED]#8220;What[HTML_REMOVED]#8217;s wrong?[HTML_REMOVED]#8221;
In the United States, the first thing they ask you is: [HTML_REMOVED]#8220;What kind of insurance do you have?[HTML_REMOVED]#8221;

Number 5:
In Canada, nobody dies due to lack of health insurance.
In the United States, under Obamacare, many thousands will continue to die every year due to lack of health insurance.
