Hi Guys,
Can anyone recommend me a good restaurant location in Vancouver or the North Shore? Prices in the 100-200 dollar range for two people. Taking my wife out for our anniversary this weekend…..we normally go to the Fishworks in North Vancouver, which is excellent but would not mind a change.
Essentially looking for a fun place ( any kind of food is fine) that definitely does not have a kids menu….we go to enough of those places normally.

thanks all.

Tableau at the Loden Hotel on Melville (downtown), it's fun French. Go there with my wife a few times per year and it's always a good time.

We often go to Edible Canada on Granville Island. Food is good, atmosphere is nice but still pretty relaxed, prices are reasonable.

They often say life is a circle SO you start with lots of time to recreate but no woman, you meet someone, date, live together, get married have kids so no time to play, become estranged, you are back to no woman but you got lots of time to bike/paddle/ski … its all about where you are on the continuum?

Try Pier 7 located right on the waterfront at the bottom of Lonsdale: http://pierseven.ca/. Have been there 3x this year (birthdays, Mother's Day brunch). Food is really good and views of water and city are great.

Chambar (on Beatty St) has excellent food, a good vibe and a great beer list (think Belgian!): http://www.chambar.com/ (their Moules Frites are yummy!)

So many options! I'm really liking Espana on Denman as one of the newer places. La Brasserie on Davie is Franco/German and always a go-to. In Gastown, L'Abbatoir and Boneta would be my picks. Chambar as previously mentioned is a good pick. Cioppino's in Yaletown is great for Italian (but you'll have to go easy on the wine to keep it to $200) and for old-skool French, it's hard to beat Le Crocodile.

If you want to stay on the Shore, La Regalade in West Vancouver is awesome. I've also heard great things about Fraiche (but haven't yet been) and you'll be hard pressed to beat the view if you get a nice night.

One does not suffer for good food in this town!

Yep doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food is amazing.

If you're looking for something fancy, it's hard to go wrong with West Restaurant.
