Sounds like some religions are more equal than others.

It's the PQ trying to drive out immigrants.

As the article states they are setting themselves on a long play for separation.

I really hope it doesn't go through and the PQ are voted out.

Don't we have real problems to deal with?

Real issues that effect how we live and die?

I'd be embarrassed to be part of a political movement that came up with this…

I have 21,474,850 rep points...

My blog - read it!

It's a ploy to drive an election while the know full well that the majority of Quebecer's stand behind them on this. The supreme court of Canada, hopefully, has some jurisdiction in Quebec still for when they do pass it after an election to get it stricken on the first challenge. IN THE MEANTIME… if you're hiring in an industry that can use some good people who are being maligned because they wear a non-christian symbol to work (crucifix of an abnormal size is impossible to define), it's probably worth while to create an advertising campaign exploiting the idiots over there.

I think it's their statement that multiculturalism doesn't work. More than a few people around the world agree with them.

The Supreme Court won't be doing anything. Quebec has used s.33 of the Charter more than any other province and I'd be _very _surprised if they didn't use it again.

What do you think about being able to wear crosses but other religious artifacts are on the do-not-fly list?

I was asking a question not making a statement.

Now this is a thread about dickheads!

Freedom of contract. We sell them guns that kill them; they sell us drugs that kill us.

Only if they agree to stay the fuck out of the rest of Canada when it comes to driving.

Ya it' pretty dirty politics by the PQ.

If the Feds challenge via the SCC then the PQ can say "hey look the rest of canada wants to impose their beliefs on us". Then the seperarists climb out of their damp holes in the ground. If they don't challenge then the they chalk it up as a win and looks great to the party base.

They had a Sikh doctor on the news the other day. Born in quebec and lived there his whole life. Teaches at McGill so by all accounts a person you want contributing in your society. Asked what he will do if this goes theough? He will have to leave.
