If you are partial to giving major political parties a large window to hone their particular brand of corruption (like money laundering), FPTP is the choice for you.
If you want some sort of shock collar placed on these sociopathic parties, PR.

FPTP is good for two party systems, we have a multi party system in BC so we should have PR.
The real question is which form of PR? At the moment I'm leaning towards rural-urban as it seems to be the only option that allows us to cast a ranked ballot.
People have issues figuring out how to mark a ballot when they have to make only 1 choice, what will it be like when you have to mark 2nd and 3rd preferences for a ranked ballot? Make it any more complicated and people will just give up and not waste their time. I'm not a fan of FPTP, but it is simple and easy to work with for the common voter.
If people can't rank who they want to win I suggest we all just go back to fucking our cousins and elect a lifetime dictator.

DMP is even easier. Single vote, just like FPTP --> https://elections.bc.ca/referendum/voting-systems/dual-member-proportional-dmp/

This is exactly why I would support any party who platform includes a significant revamp of our education system to include things like civics and critical thinking classes. There's no reason kids can't learn how our political system works and how to actually think and make a decision when faced with a problem that can't be solved by some memorized formula.

Agreed, but they never admit that's the reason.
With Faith Goldy getting 3.4% in her run for Toronto's mayor, I don't think 5% is high enough. Look how easy it was for Rick Mercer to get 3%!!
