its still better to buy a small diesel than a Prius, too bad we can't get much variety in terms of diesels around here:(

yup cuz diesal is expensive now for these reasons ,altho it is a US site the economics would still apply

what possible use could a hummer have that could not be filled by another vehical for cheaper ?

I traded the 4-runer on a vw diesal in 2001 ,I figure in the 4 years I drove it for work when diesal averaged 12cents per litre cheaper I saved 17K on fuel

and really it was not just about being green it was about making smart choices economicaly,not spending $$$$ on cars and fuel and shit I don't need … so I don't have to work and you all do

This environmental crap coupled with commercialism bullshit is such crap. Its much more environmentally friendly to buy one vehicle, any vehicle, and keep it for longer than 120,000 kms. Think about how many new cars are produced every year and the type and amount of energy it takes to produce them vs. many salvageable cars hit the junkyard because no one wants to fix them.
