Looking to take in a NBA game with the Grom and wife in Portland (sigh…. missing the Sonics!)

Any family friendly activites that we should't mis?

Looking to the googles has yielded many shots of hipsteresq D-bags. Not into that scene.

I have family there so visit once every few years, I went to a museum that had a submarine, and also an airplane museum that was a little out of town, can't remember the names. Trailblazer games are awesome, way better than Canucks IMO

Edit; one with the sub is Oregon Museum of Science [HTML_REMOVED] Industry, I remember liking it when I was a kid

Have dinner at HUB Brewery, it's very family friendly.

The Saturday Market is interesting. Maybe not if it's pouring rain, but some of it is covered.

McMenamins / Kennedy School is really cool. It's an old school that's been converted into a hotel. If it's nice out, there's a great restaurant in the courtyard. Otherwise, there are a few different restaurants and bars on the property(the boiler room is the best), they have their own brewery, and there's a movie theatre in the school too. Even if you don't stay there, it's a cool place to go wander around. Surrounding area (Alberta St) is nice too, you might want to look into an Air Bnb house in the area for the family.

Otherwise, I'm usually down there drinking, eating, drinking, partying, drinking and going to concerts with the local "Hipsteresq D-bags" so can't offer much insight on family stuff.

Must go, even if you've never read a book. Don't loose your kids!

I'm referring only to the main location.

Powell's Books if you like books of any sort, new and used.
Their Japanese garden is good.
Lots of brew pubs
Wine bars downtown if you want to try lots of good Oregon wine from the Willamette valley.
Universal Cycles

Portland has the most strip clubs per-capita in the US.
