The existing PS3 has a lot of processing power, and its design is a few years old. The new one should be a lot more powerful, especially for graphics. There's supposed to be 2GB video memory, and the GPU will likely have the performance of a 7800 series. That's all the rumours have for specs; no mentions of multiple video ports - just and HDMI port.

PC gaming is def. a different beast than console gaming. While I agree that the graphics are better in most cases, I find the ease of console use and overall experience better.
