and do ipods ever go on sale? holy shit they're expensive
Suck it up and buy a new car with a built in adaptor
meh
If you do get a transmitter, get one with presets. The old griffin itrip is a giant pain in the ass to start, and basically requires a passenger to operate.

but then he would have to work more than 1 day a week
i bought an alpine deck off ebay that had the ipod cable which charges and gives the best sound. I got the deck for under 200 bucks and it works great.
the alpine has clear sound to begin with but i can pick up the limitations of an mp3 very easily. But in my eyes it is best way.
Yeah, FM tuners work great if you're in the middle of nowhere, not so great in populated areas.
Cable connect is your best option if your deck supports it. You can always buy a cig lighter charger later.
also what glib said

Take a look at the Apple Canada Refurb Store, towards bottom right of screen, click on the 'deals tag'.

Basically brand-new iPods, with full-warranty, for a fair bit less.
those FM tuners suck IMO, lots of static in the lower mainland
…and the ol' clearnet/nextel/Mike blackberry makes a mess of the FM tuner too… that being said, the iTrip I have works great when I throw my blackberry in the backseat where it belongs…

She who has no patience is already out shopping. efffffffffffff
I use a cassette to mp3 adapter. I bought a tape deck for $20 and it works fine for me. The only downside is that I have to take it inside to get charged every couple of weeks.
If you find them expensive, don't buy an iPod, buy another MP3 player. I have a Creative Zen, it's great, and 30[HTML_REMOVED]#37; cheaper than the equivalent iPod.
and with the mp3 players you're not stuck with Ipod proprietary format too
thats funny i never have a problem with my iTrip while i'm using my cell. i'm on rogers wireless and i set my FM to 88.1 and i never notice any static with my ipod mini or nano anywhere in vancouver.
Just wait for the iCar, should be out in a few years. Comes in baby blue, pink, green and orange, and you can even drive it - but there's no trunk, just 7 billion terrabites of music storage.
