It's still shaking there with 4.9s

not a good day…around 7 of them buggers..people here are cracking up. Guy killed himself today in our hood, people suspect fear.

Night crew reporting for duty….wife wants me to stay up so she can sleep. We got home from Manila at midnight and the cab driver was in a near state of panic listening to the radio that was repeating a story spreading on Facebook and text messages about an 8.0 hitting sometime tonight.

I don't think someone started the the story maliciously…but you know how people are so eager to believe anything they hear and repeat it as gospel truth and before you know it has morphed into something completely ridiculous.
So Someone probably said i hope we don't get a 8.0 and that morphed into a scientist from the united states are warning of blah blah blah…sad really.
With all that said i have two bug out packs by the door LOL.

People are out on the streets, people are cracking up, lots of drinking and passing out going on as we where driving home.
I told the cab driver to stop listening to the radio and put on some nice music its going to be ok… as he was freaking out my wife and daughter.

Very superstious culture that doesn't think. Earthquake epicenter is below land, and they're worried about a tsunami.

You're talkin' about the "states", right?

Global Warming's gonna' fry 'em and they're worried about fascist socialist Obummercare.

Correct about the culture….but tell me.

Could you tell where exactly the earthquake generated from?… while standing at sea level.

To put this in perspective for you…if you where on the beach in Van and your universe started to violently high speed wobble for one minute….what would you do?

It is in America. Now.

And Bushman didn't go hard enough on you. That was an extremely "douchey" thing to have said about his neighbours.
Shame on you!

Could you be any more of a douche?

You contracted venereal disease at an early age, didn't you.

By "they" I meant authorities, not the people. Bad grammar on my part.

You'll be OK. Keep a cool head - people around you may need it.

I was up over 28 hours, over reacted to your post. Getting some reassurance from a geologist and earthquake buff has helped, no longer worried about volcanoes or bigger quakes. Felt about 8 jolts in the last 24hrs and I don't get triggered with the original trauma of the bigone. Still a weird sensation and reminds you how ant like we are compared to the power of the earth.
Like a ghost town still on the streets, mass exodus of Koreans and tourists. This will affect economy.
Noticed a few small cracks around our house but nothing on main posts or beams.
