Dude, normally I would agree with you but I think the particular posts in question are not about hurt feelings but unnecesary trolling and general douchery.

I've posted on a few boards that have no moderation and to be honest it just seems to go to hell 95% of the time. You can't make a serious thread or post without someone derailing it completely.

In the end this is a community and like in any social setting there are people that make themselves outcasts for whatever reason. The only thing about the real world is you can close the door on them.

Dude, its all about tolerance. Like not tolerating things like racism, violence against women,, prejudice based on sexual oriention, etc. The poster(s) in question continue to blatantly take it one step to far and whether it is intentional or not it should not matter. Wrong is Wrong no matter how right you wanna make it.

I'm not saying I'm perfect by any means, but at least I stop and really think about what I'm posting. I can't tell you how many times i hit delete instead of submit, my post count woult be triple of what it is if i didn't show some restraint.

Although we disagree to a certain degree, great post.

It's posts like this that make me enjoy this board. For the most part everyone contributes well to the discussions- there is serious debate, lots of humour, and well thought out discussion. The vast majority of those that frequent this site help make this place great.

Unfortunately, someone always "bites" with the trolls for whatever reason- thus resulting in a downslide of the thread.

Not only that, but this forum isnt designed for NBR flaming. It is a BIKING forum that is supposedly safe for most of the family.

Communities have standards they agree on. You don't like those standards, you're free to act up. But don't expect the community to not respond.

People want to take shots at me - it's water off a duck's back. But some of the garbage getting posted is going way over the line. If you don't like that, then take your own advice.

I sort of live by the motto, "What goes around, comes around". If you're going to be a dick here, it can very well come back to hurt you socially.

If I were Cam, I would adopt a strong "No thread deleting" policy. Leave it to him only to delete a thread if he sees a very, very good reason (i.e.: legal implication, or extremely damaging social implications). The petty stuff…let it ride, because usually that stuff will sort itself out in the thread.

On top of that, the only guy who should be able to ban someone is Cam, and only with very, very good reason (as stated above).

And, as a bi-product, the pussies of this board will learn to use this wonderfull skill called "communication" to verbally fight back.
