Why the disconnect between municipal [HTML_REMOVED] federal governments? The City politicians know well enough that you arn't going to stop it outright, so you might as well collected the license fees and property taxes from the massage parlours - what happens to this sensibility as politicians climb further up the ladder to the federal level?

Is there an anti hooker looby at work - I mean other then the wacko christians?

It's within the Ontario courts. There is a similar challenge in progress in the BC courts as well.

The reality is this was a decision made way back in 72. Cops stated clearly this would cause more problems. They where told they where fear mongering. So after 35 plus years this whole anti brothel house mentality has become institutionalized.

Years ago I saw on one of those day time talk shows Larry Flynt. The show was on prostitution and such. There where 4 others as well. The religious types kept ranting that by allowing brothels people will hae no choice but to enter. The devil and so on. Flynt calmly took them on- he kept pointing out that no one uses force to go to brothels or strip clubs. They do so of their own free will.
