yes, while a "rope" is less expensive, the death penalty in a developed country is not.
any other pro death penalty arguments left anyone?
i think you may be suggesting that we give the death penalty to those who want to die or those that don't care, but spare those wanting to live? not sure I'm on board with that
It doesn't have to be expensive; it's been made expensive because its used on people when incarceration would work fine. I'm talking people about people like Olson who are predators and won't stop no matter what length of time they're locked up for.
There needs to be a certain criteria that has to be met before execution is even an option. If you're a serial murderer, rapist or child molester having a really long time out isn't going to cure you. These people aren't in the heat of the moment committing a crime, they are preying on other people and have no regard for human life.
If you're asking whether or not I support euthanasia the answer is yes. In my early 20's I watched my grandfather die slowly and suffer when he didn't need to or want to. Watch a documentary called How to Die in Oregon it gives really good insights to what people go thru who opt for euthanasia.
In no way am I suggesting that we execute people who are suicidal; they need medical help.
