Way to go Canada. Great game … solid, hard tackling got the job done. Canada got some lucky breaks - Tonga couldn't convert on 2 kicks into the wind, plus some ball-handling mistakes by Tonga. Don't know if the Canuck swarming defence could handle a better team (France [HTML_REMOVED] All Blacks), which will probably pick them apart if they try to play that style.

Great game last night! The missed call on the intentional trip when Canada was chasing a kick was brutal… We had solid D in tight, but like Duncan said they will prob get exploited out wide against France/NZ. I'll still be watching the games regardless!

Good game plan by Canada, score could have been more our side if the reffs weren't such a joke and throwing penalties for obstruction.. christ.

Clunking is for retards.

Didnt Tonga sit 11 of their starters? Or am I mistaken? I think they took Canada too lightly.

Well Tonga hasn't ever beaten Canada in the world cup so I don't think they would take them lightly. Tonga didn't start 11 players that did in their previous game against NZ, who knows if they were "starters" or if it was just a change of scenery.

But you would assume they would use their best players against NZ. So, I would only assume that they were starters.

Regardless, watching all of this rugby makes me really miss playing(minus the concussions).

They had didn't START 11 of their starters from the match against NZ, but many of them were subbed onto the field in the last 15, where we scored 10 pts to win :)

I think they were playing 2 partially split squads. Why would they waste fielding all their best players against NZ in a game that they were virtually certain to lose? Tonga played Canada on 4 days rest, so they wanted to rest some of the team for the next match, against Japan. Tonga knew they would have to beat both Canada and Japan to have any chance of finishing 3rd or better (if you finish in the top 3 of your pool, you automatically qualify for the 2015 Finals). To throw the game against Canada with a second-rate effort makes no sense.

Very entertaining to watch. Probably the first time i've watched Rugby on TV and its great. Looks like they're tackling just as hard as Football players would, minus the pads, has to smart a little

I'm happy to get outside and enjoy nature while I can, but I fear for the future of humanity

I love that TSN/TSN2 is carrying all the matches, but the biggest draw is the All Blacks, am I right?

They play friday morning @ 1:00 our time, TSN then replay the match at 11:00 am.

I'm sorry but most people have jobs during the day, and Im too cheap to buy a PVR.

SO I now have to stay up real late to watch my All Blacks, or skip work.

Oh and who the hell does England think they are, showing up in NZ wearing an all black kit?

GO NZ!

It's just a change kit for matches when colours clash. They'll mostly be playing in the usual white. NZ has sported a white change kit in the past
