Don't judge the people of Toronto by its lame ass sportswriters/ tv personalities.
Even though I work with 3 guys who have been life-long Bruin fans (jumped off the pathetic Leaf bandwagon early-on in their lives) everyone else I know here is rooting for the Canadian team.
As a matter of fact, at the start of the last period of game 5, people were spilling into the street (at Front and University) watching the game on the local bars patio big screens.
To the internationals that were out on the town that night, I can assure you they got a sense that something big was going on.
