I hope they don't make it into the playoffs next. Clearly there is a segment of Canucks fans that are not able to act civilized or control themselves when there emotions and alcohol are combined.

1 dead girl from drunk canucks fan driver
+hundreds of injuries
+countless number of lives negatively impacted forever
+ millions dollars in property damage
= not worth it.

 Have you been PVRing the news since the Stanley Cup? Anti-riot anger is so last week.

Seriously though, read GW's post, think about it for a while. Marylin Manson didn't shoot kids at Columbine and the Canucks didn't start a riot.

You can wish the Canucks a bad season if you want, but only for a good reason like you are an Oilers fan.

There's no saying he'll stay with the Islanders, lots of internet speculation of him and Detroit.

Detroit GM said last week he wasn't willing to pay big money for a Beiska or Erhoff d-man

Why slag free swag?

I have a feeling Edler will step up even more next year to help fill the Erhoff void. Losing him doesnt concern me too much. And as much as I wanted Ballard to play in the playoffs, Rome was pretty solid, which was surprising, in a good way.

Still not sure whats up with Ballard though …

Hopefully Ballard figures it out- it looks like Gillis and Vignault are counting on it.

I read somewhere on NHL.com that he said something about wanting to be on a team that had a chance at winning the cup. oooh, low blow.

Terrible moves already, getting rid of our top defensive points getter erhoff. Getting rid of our grittiest and undoubtably the best player in the playoffs for us Torres. Signing the walking piece of glass that is salo, resigning bieksa to 5 years which will surely see him suck for the first four then "try" when he needs to make a paycheck and new deal (ala last year). Good luck for last year, faceoff wins don't win you games:rolleyes"

One good side was keeping lapierre, I guess…

Sturm can play well. Better hands then Torres and Lappy

They let Tanner Glass go away. That's too bad, I liked him. He's going to Winnipeg.

Sturm and Baumgartner are good pickups.

Salo is great if he stays in one piece, but that's a big if every year.
