Someone tried to get a petition to get rid of the Canucks.

There actually was a lot of "outcry" when protesters got out of hand at the Olympics. A number of times and most particularly when a window at The Bay got smashed.
Your memory is selective. Helps when trying to make a point, but detrimental when facts get in the way of said point.

Enduramil has this vision of all of us typing away in a coffee shop on our macs with dreadlocks in between rallies for the homeless of the DTES.
they don't deserve the press. now that the games are drawing to a close people are going to need something to talk about - you can help by not having that thing be the protestors.
i will be preforming mandatory protester anal probes with my hockey stick.
I hope your planning to use a goalie stick, blade first.
if its another window smashing parade then duck right off.
and if its weekend protesters, duck off aswellI suggest the Olympic hockey fans lay an ass kicking on the protestors. I bet 5 to 1 the cops would just sit back and watch the protestors take a beating.
This one is kinda ironic
If I didn't have to be a responsible person in real life, I'd be down with beating a bunch of hippies, esp after beer and a hockey game.
I think we should just send Chis Pronger down there and tell him to give each protester cross check the face.
Yeah, I'd say it'll be closer to 100:1 if not more. If the protesters are in the way
trying to stop people from going where they want to go tomorrow, there will be blood.
It'll be curious to see what the police will do.Well, at least the rioting will be limited to abusing protesters instead of turning
cars over and other general mayhem.
etc
There were RCMP ready for both the Surrey Central TV screen site and the Scott [HTML_REMOVED] 72 intersection (fan gathering site).
Both sites were quiet so the RCMP were sent downtown.

no those are the guys who didn't get on the bus . . . just goes to show you that common sense can break out where you might least expect it
Hey I just thought of a plan to deal with all the rioting jackoffs.
Not sure of it's present status, but years ago I was flying back to Prince Rupert from some mining exploration in NW BC near Stewart and weather forced us to land in Alice Arm and stay the night in Kitsault, a modern day ghost town. I hear it was for sale a few years back, see http://deasil.wordpress.com/2007/04/16/magical-kitsault-%E2%80%93-yours-for-7-million/
Anyway why not have the BC govt more or less expropriate the property, including the molybdenum mine, ship all these thugs up there ( minus the ones they should deport) and put them to work mining molybdenum, the revenues from which would go to the province. A "mining concentration camp" if you will. I think it would house just about the right number of rioters who so richly deserve some hard labour and not just a slap on the wrist or fines and probation, which is probably what's going to happen and not teach them any kind of lesson whatsoever. The public shaming through all types of media is one thing, but these criminals require criminal punishment as well.
